One day late, but ah well. Happy Birthday Singapore!! My island home, you are 41!! So old, man. (Ok lah, 7 years younger than my father --> OMG my mother is 44! So old!!) I must say Kaira Gong looked really weird at the National Day Parade. A little too skinny perhaps? But she looked quite nice in the second dress. All the same, lip synching is something NDP should do away with!!! Lip synching is way embarrassing, IMO. >_<>8th August 2006 National Day celebrations....really sucked. I mean, I was just basically sitting with 1/2 of the rest of the swim team at the back of the hall, doing nothing half the time, taking pictures, talking the other half. It really really really sucked, you must admit. The person who tried to get us to sing along to the NDP songs can't sing, the hosts just sounded like they were reading of a script (a badly written one too), and the performances/videos were just pointless and substandard. I am so horrible, ain't I? But I can't help it. It's really the worst performance I've ever been too, even worse than last year's. I've half a mind of ponning school. And I've never ponned school before, too! I abhor school-ponning, and ponners too, although I try to hide that fact. Yes, the performance is that bad. It didn't help that I knew we were going to suffer from some bad scolding half an hour after. Or rather, an hour after, because we couldn't find Miss Toh around school. Shall not talk about the details, or it will only make me pissed off again, but really, the fault isn't all on our shoulders. As Joe from Financial Literacy Week told us, "we should not justify!" Thus, I shall not try to justify. =D Right, some pictures to brighten up the post.
