Sometimes I daydream so much, I hold an honest belief that I will make a wonderful scriptwriter. Then, I sit down with a pen in hand, and nothing comes out. On good days, a meagre piece of work is squeezed out; on bad days, the paper just remains black.
I think this is what people call "writer's block", but I'm no writer, and the block is there forever. More like, "brain leak".
I am really sad, because the Helmsman week is over, which means no more slacking, which means back to lessons, which means the EOYs are coming. Ee-ois.
Nevertheless, I had fun this week. IMHO, it's the best thus far. It really shows us the options out there and introduces us to some great people and opportunities. Some of the highlights:
1) Jurong Island Visit
:D Haha, I was quite excited crossing the sea! Yay, my first visit to Jurong Island, although it was scary thinking we could die if someone bombs the place, and the place reeks of petroleum. The sumitomo people have funny japanese accents too, which made it difficult for me to understand what they were saying. The Chemical Gallery was fun, though. Loved the interactive stuffs. No pictures, sadly. xD
2) Meeting with David Hoe
Hahaha, basically, I'm just wondering if maybe I've seen him in church when I used to go before? LOL. Maybe he was one of those people jumping to the music. Funny thought.
3) Feeling Fab
Muay thai was fun! Hip hop was fun, but horrible. Basically, just showed us how badly we dance. The art of massage is interesting, now I can get free massages - professional too! Aromatherapy was really boring, but I still like essential oils. :D
4) SMU visit
I'm not into business, but it's nice to see the campus. Not to forget Jove sprained her ankle there! :p
5) NE quiz!!!
Yay, I got Expert builder. Not the best, but anyhow, it was fun! I built stupid things the first time, like the funny temples and all. But then I got cleverer and started building the bigger stuffs. So much for preserving the National Heritage...

Yesterday was College Day. I had electives before that, which meant a rushed lunch of dried meepok from 7-eleven. It was nice, though. Surprisingly. >_< College Day was more interesting that last year's, probably cos it was in the afternoon and the broadcast was better. The ppt was interesting, and my picture (OK, along with 6 other people) was there! /sidenote: The MILK project won a SILVER in the whatever competition. Yayness! Must be my innovation which garnered this prize. =pp Oh yes, and we gave presents to Daryl and Qian Yu. Here's a picture of Daryl and his present:
The performances were nice too. Choir's was funny. And the band was really energetic. Ended off with a half-hearted Victorian's Anthem, however. Anyway, congrats to the many IP students who won something from College Day!
Rushed off for POP (Passing Out Parade) after that. Basically, the Standard 4s (which I would be one of if I had not joined the VIP). There were 4 of us, Darren, Cleaven, Ser En and I. Ser En went to find Yizhuang and Yuhan, who were her classmates, though she wasn't in SJ.
We missed the parade, sadly. Which means we missed the last glories of our squadmates being the chair, vice-chair, etc etc. Was good to see them again. I love to hug my squadmates; their hugs are always so endearing and real.
All the IP people went back, which makes 6 of us, as well as Weng Soon, who quit in Sec 3. Would have been funny if Shandy had gone back, but I'm not saying more to spoil the sad vibes this blog post is supposed to give off.
Sat through the dinner with Yuhan and Yan Wen, who are my best friends from SJ. I felt a little out of place, but I could tell they tried their best to make me feel better.
You know, there are some things about them that I really miss, which I would never experience with the V11 people. I guess different groups of people just have their pros and cons.
I have lots more to say, but I've better end of here, and update again next time. To end off, here's a candid photo of the whole corp trying to get into a picture!
