"North, South, East, West, Home is the best!!" Screams. Simply loves my bed so much, as compared to the one at Nacli. The mattress made soooo much noise everytime I shifted. Ahh. I had such a lovely sleep last night. Although I kept chanting to myself as I lay down: "I don't want to sleep, I must read my book. I don't want to sleep, I must read my book. I don't want to sleep, I must read my book." But the enticing charm of my bed soon tempted me and it changed into "I want to sleep. Heck care my book". And then I slept a total of 14 hours. How lovely. After a long camp at Nacli, I realise that I still do not know what it stands for. But I do know it's Chinese name now, at least. Nei Li. Sounds like Mei Li, or charm. I shall not be boring and blog about what happened everyday, since I'm sure there will be others who do that, and then I can simply direct you to their links. So I shall talk about my personal experience, because the world revolves around me. =D +++ 1> Accomodation I shared a room with jove, marg and rach, which was like a super-lucky combination. Since we all knew each other pretty well. And rach and I did stupid prank calls to phua xu mei, who thought we were some valerie ang! So funny, but we had a good laugh. And did our "Power" twin pose which we haven't done for like, a year. The beds were gross, seriously. The afore-mentioned mattresses were horrible, and the pillows were too tough. And then the air con was too hot at first, then gradually became too cold. I woke up both nights at 4 shivering. AND our room was filled with ants, ants and more ants! Bleah. The only good thing perhaps was that we had a fun time laughing at each other's dumbness. And listening to gossips. And stuffs that happen between room mates, you know. 2> Food OK, I'm like doing all the basic needs. Next thing will be like, water. -_- Anyway I thought the food was pretty good. At least the fruits were sweet! And if you compare it to chicken rice during St John's camps, the food there feels as though it were cooked by chefs with 5 michelin stars. I particularly liked the tofu though. Tofu forever! *Tofumen nods in agreement* 3> Games Like the way games work, some of them were successful, some of them less so. But the games played in the first day were probably the worst. We played the same game twice or something, and the lectures made everything worse. I am getting bored blogging and shall do one-liners for all the games. Shoe factory was stinky. Dominoes were horribly troublesome but satisfying at the end. Skipping rope was scary but fun when you get the momentum. (Struggling hard to remember the games we played) The hammer-and-plates game was seriously funny and we were really enthusiastic AND we won! LOL. Oh and there was some war cheer game was there? That was pretty fun too, because the actions were really lame. The station games were considerably funner, and my group was rather enthu, I guess. We were the silly Muthu group, thanks to Nick who came up with such a weird name. I didn't really like the memory and the beanbag games, although we did well in the former. Skipping rope and hopscotch were average, although the hopscotch was something new. I've never known it was done that way! And I managed to make it till 8. Human ladder and Acid River were the funnest, I guess? Although the human ladder was rather distracting. So we didn't do particularly well, but at least all the girls went through. And the acid river was diferent from the normal way we do it, with the chairs and all. 4> Competitions OK, competition. The bread eating one. That was extremely gross, watching people stuff their mouths. Although our class did us proud, in a way. Eric was third and won an honour and a handshake, and Yee Jek was second. Rah and I had a fun time laughing about him training under rapids. Samuel was first, and according to Wuyue he was so happy with a xin4 fu2 expression on his face. His way of eating was gross, though. REALLY gross. 5> Trainers Most of the trainers were nice, although I can't remember all their names. I remember aikeng, peter, patrick, and that's all. -_- I liked the girl who played the war game with us though, but I don't recall her name. She was really cute! 6> Lame Moments The first one must be our lame "Speak Chinese" campaign. We did something similar in sec 2 before, me and sock. And thus the spirit was brought forward to VJC! We must speak good chinese and true singaporeans! Erm...-_- The Nacli shirt was lame too. Like, medium shirt turned out to be bigger than large, and everyone was screaming away at its dumbness. Besides, the shirt was not too pretty too. Really, really lame. The third must be the one during the flashback. I was so incredibly sure the photo won't come out, and I kept telling Wuyue and Ganesh that "no, they won't have the photo" then pop it came out. But at least I looked normal (I think?) and mark was the poor soul there. Why must they betray my faint little heart? 7> Miscellaneous The cheering was great fun, as were the mass dances, but only if I knew how to do them. Seriously, I have short term memory and most of the time during cheers or mass dances I will be mumbling away or fumbling away. Like, LOL. Rain was irritating, for once! Kept raining and raining, and there was hardly any glimpse of the lovely sun. Sitting around the learning lounge really made an impact, on our butts! So painful. >_< +++ Anyhow, that was one different camp. Not the best I would say, but definitely different. And I guess I will sort of miss it, in a weird sort of way. Oh...*whips out kleenex and sobs* Oh, not to forget it was a truly godly experience. And angellic too.
