Whew, it's early in the morning (kind of), and I am gonna blog about the bloggerscon! There won't be a lot of picture though, kind of too busy to take pictures (or rather too lazy). OK, so it began with us meeting at Raffles City and having lunch there. We walked through the Esplanade and there was this cool graffiti display or something, so obviously we had to take pictures! Here's one of half the bloggers of the vj team standing in front of the graffiti! Then we moved on to DXO, which is a club formerly known as the Embassy or something like that. Apparently it's new. We were a bit too early, which meant we had to wait. It was funny queing outside a club like we are underaged people trying to sneak in with our fake i/cs. Anyhow, while waiting, I met several people I knew. The first was Hejin, who astounded us with her dress sense. Yan Qi and I were the only ones who knew her lah, thanks to St John's. Too bad I have no picture of her! Then we saw Ma'am Serene, another SJ dude. And then I saw Angela Jean, my sister's friend, who was part of the crew I reckon. She was wearing the bloggerscon shirt and like taking pictures away. And then we finally got to go inside that club! It was our first time entering one, ahem, so we were rather excited about it. What can you excited lah, from little kiddies like us :D And anyway it was rather small in my opinion but cool. The dance area was set up with chairs and tables, which meant no dancing for the day. There were plasma screens all around so that people could view the dance area from everywhere. Then there was the toilet, which had a unisex washing point, with only two taps. Inside the toilet itself there is only ONE tap! During peak hours people would be queing to wash their HANDS and not queing for the cubicle! And then there is the bar area with all the alcohol taps and all. Quite nice. And there is the little cosy corner where the deejay sits. I wish I could sit in there, but I might be dragged outside if I tried :p Anyway, enough of those silly pictures! The first event was this blogger conference thing, then they introduced to us various communities of bloggers. There was the Mummy Bloggers, who never did come up to talk cos they were at the nursery room taking care of their erm, babies. There was the Indian Bloggers, which is basically Indians blogging at the same site lah. And then there was the Cowboy Bar thing! It's supposed to be M18, haha, but I supposed it should be funny and worth a read. Oh and there was one about nature. I wonder what they actually write about...there can't be much content there in Singapore. And then VJC introduced their blog! It was cool with a capital C! Haha. Mark gave a brief intro and then Mr Chua and Mr Ng added on bits, with our shameless advert :p So hopefully we get more votes! (Oh and they made us namecards the previous day, which is really cool. Our pictures aren't on it however :(..) And then we had a break. There were refreshments and time to stroll and take pictures! So obviously we grabbed the chance...

Us all with Mr Brown and Angela Jean! Looking great huh?

This is one of me and Nicole with Kenny Sia. Haha, looks retarded.

And Xiaxue!!!! (her makeup is kinda thick) Whee!

Don't the pictures look gross? (realise i was always the one standing next to the biggies. wahaha)

But anyway, we managed to get photos which is a good thing.

Haha then can show off liao.

Anyway, after that, we listened to this talk about blogtiquette. So there was things like infringing into people's privacy, flaming a person, etc. Rather interestng, which makes us more cautious when it comes to blogging. Not that I am such a person. I am so considerate, aren't I?

So there was another talk about IT stuff, and they introduced us to various websites. There was this audio blogging thing, which is cool, because we can have our own talk show!

Then there was the website much akin to google except dedicated to blogs where we can search about who is talking about blogs and the like. I can't remember the site though :p

Then I finally learnt about RSS feed, trackbacks and stuff. Not that I am any much savvier than before.

As the ending of this fabulous event, we had BELLY DANCING! Haha, there were three dances, a solo, a duet and the trio. Rather nice, the way they shake that ass belly. Haha. Couldn't take any pictures, a bit blurred. We were sorta abandoned by the rest of the team, so us four, Mark, Daryl, Nicole and I went off on our own. But we had fun too, looking through that shop with all the postcards and stuff on movies, and then walking through Esplanade deciding whether or not to catch a movie (finally we decided on the not) and also taking ANOTHER picture at the graffiti. And this ends my post! The grand finale...Hope there would be a bloggerscon again soon and perhaps by that time my blog would be famous! I wish....

Smiles (:
