Today we went to Pelangi Village, and being really sleepy from lack of sleep, I yawned and yawned. Miss Toh thought that I was crying (I think) and she asked me whether I was OK. It was kinda funny in a way, but it made me want to cry cos she said that. So funny hor.
But I guess people would say that the trip was inspirational because it made them realise they should help the people. But truthfully, it wasn't all that inspirational to me. It just made me realise how cruel the world is and how unfair life is.
If it wasn't for their illnesses, I can see some of them becoming famous artists in their younger years etc. Isn't it unfair? They have talents, but they cannot flaunt them. So what's the use of talent then?
And most of them just lead meaningless lives. They go from place to place, just doing whatever they are told to. That's why they say they have little or no motivation to do things, and we have to keep encouraging them. But isn't that meaningless? They have to want to do things themselves.
We were playing UNO stacko with some of the folks, I think 6 of them, and the social worker Janice. She was rather nice, she kept smiling, but really it was hard to understand what the folks were saying especially with all the language barriers.
Then Janice kept looking at me as though expecting me to like do something, so I will feel obliged to help them. But what I really wanted to do was actually do more than helping them, but we couldn't get any time to talk to them. Sad. >.<
Oh well, Pelangi was relatively OK, but it wasn't exactly what I imagined it to be. Simulacra, simulacra indeed.
Tomorrow will be IMH. Here I come =D!

Do you feel that sometimes when you listen to songs in foreign languages, you can't really understand what they are crooning about so in the end you don't listen to their songs?
Well, I usually feel that way which is why I don't listen to Jap songs or Korean songs lah. But today I was listening to that 10-minute long song, tears, (OK fine there were english words in it -lots of them) and I was almost brought to tears literally =P So touching.
Have to run to watch TV. Ta.
