First day of Chinese New Year - stuck at home with nothing to do. I was irritated by my father early in the morning just 10 minutes ago, with his constant nagging and intruding into my peace of blogging after which I became so frustrated I closed the window. Ok, so anyway, I have received 3 hongbaos only. And obviously, I have opened them already. But I will not spend it until after Chinese New Year lah..wonder how I will splurge it away. I remember last year I spent my money away rather quickly. I sort of miss going back to Malaysia. At least there you can let off fire crackers whenever you like, and its definitely more fun than being stuck in Singapore. I mean, at least I can go visit some relatives I don't even know and get some hongbaos or something. Sigh...its too late already. So anyway, yesterday we had our reunion dinner, but surprisingly, it wasn't at the Crystal Jade Restaurant. We went to the other new one instead, called 'Pariss' or something like that. Its a mostly seafood restaurant. I must say the auntie spirit in some people are truly raging. For example, my sister observed this person piling up her plate with lots of prawns which is supposedly the most expensive of all? Then my other sister said there was this person taking the sharksfins soup and the bowl was like overflowing and he had trouble balancing it or something. What a laugh. Is it just Singaporeans, or are all people like this? I mean, kiasu is a Singapore slang after all..how embarrassing of it to be our erm, custom. When we returned home, we had a game of mahjong. I won two rounds only, but we played like 15 rounds or so, I guess its still quite OK. I am even better than my sisters at the game!! Why is it that firecrackers are banned in Singapore? I still don't understand. I mean, it can't be that dangerous if so many countries still allow the use of it and I haven't exactly seen any reports about people dying due to these harmful toys. Its just a little noise pollution what.. The next thing you know, Singapore will be banning the use of red packets as it is wasteful of the resources and there is a need to save trees. -_-||| 2 more days to crosscountry. URGH. I can't run, and never will be able to. God save me!! 3 more days to class reunion dinner. By then, my arms and legs would have broken and I can't enjoy myself anyway. =( Chinese project has to be done by Monday. Die die! Haven't really started on it yet...
